End of the 5p cheap rate!

When did this happen?

5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)

Is this for new quote or existing?

My existing still showing 5p per unit - logged out and in again to see if this made a difference.

0.8kW WT1 and 1.2kW WT2

Think thats for new contracts / renewals.

Existing contracts stay as is until renewal then - gulp.

Not unexpected though really.

Yep this is for new/renewals.

I fully expected my peak rate to go up. A lot. From the currently quite silly 15p/kWh to 25or30p. But the cheap rate is sacrosanct!

Bizarrely Intelligent Octopus is unmolested:

Well several of us did predict the 5p cheap slot as unsustainable so its not a complete surprise. Octopus Intelligence is almost certain to go the same way but at the moment very few of us are on it to make any material difference to them.

And interestingly the 7.5p rate still aligns favourably to the expected Ripple WT1 rebate per each kWh generated. ;)
16.9kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 25MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3

My current rate is 15.78/5 pence so the 30.78/7.5 pence has a much bigger differential - so the 7.5p rate is still very good - although by the time mine is due for renewal WT1 should be producing so more to consider

Crikes Joeboy, 27.39p sc that's taken a hit then. Can I ask what the standard daytime rate has been fixed at, only our fixed term ends towards the end of Feb so would be interested to have an incling on what might be heading our way?

My last tariff with Octopus was 17p per day and I think 25.??pSC. It was called Helpful Octopus and they put me on it while sorting out the SMET2 problem.

On Go Faster I think the rate outside of the 5 hour window is 22.something p. I may find out this evening as the EV was a bit greedy last night after 02.30hrs. Sooner I get that 7.4kW charge point in the better!
