Rumours abound that Tesla has started limited production of the Semi Truck.

And It looks like Pepsi is preparing to receive the first batch of 15 as they're putting in a Megacharger station at one of their depots.

1.5MW of charging power. Holy smokes! Would love to see the cables for that lot.

That's a very impressive milestone. Just a bummer that it's a major single use plastic polluter involved.dan_b wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 3:49 pm Rumours abound that Tesla has started limited production of the Semi Truck.

Re: Tesla Semi and Megachargers imminent
It's not just the plastic, the product is rubbish too... I have seen a supermarket copy (or the syrup for diluting to make it) being made: a bucket or two of sweet syrup / sugary tar imported from the US (of course,) plus small amounts of loads of blue and black synthetic colours, I guess there must have been some sugar or other syrup (unless it was to be added at the bottling stage) but the shocker for me was the 2 buckets of neat phosphoric acid which completed the mix!
Greenwashing? Definitely.

Re: Tesla Semi and Megachargers imminent
There are 450kW chargers that work at 400, 600, or 800V battery architectures. So we are already in the world of 1000A. I wonder what the battery voltage is on those Tesla Semis?

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)
