One of their objectives from the funding they received (late 2020) from a minority equity sale via seedrs was to have the app ready for WT1.
https://www.seedrs.com/ripple2

10% Website + app development

Our tech team will develop Ripple's app in house so it is ready when the pilot wind farm begins operation. We will also make improvements to the website.
There will certainly be a lot of scrambling going on ar Ripple headquarters. I'm sure the excitement there must be massive.

a bit from my chat today
Andrew E: thanks. I was trying to click on the actual item
(09:27:12 AM) Pete : I'll feed that back to our tech team! Is there anything else I can do to assist at all today?
Andrew E: No thanks. Good news about the commissioning though,
(09:28:57 AM) Pete : We're very excited! Hopefully the turbine will be generating energy within the next week or so!

Think we must have kept them busy.
Here's mine.
(11:23:29 AM) Adrian: Many thanks for the update on progress. Had been wiondering how it was all going! Keep up the great work, can't wait to see it generating!
(11:23:50 AM) Pete : Hi Adrian! Thanks for getting in touch!
(11:23:56 AM) Pete : We're really excited as well!
(11:26:44 AM) Adrian: Hi Pete, I can just imagine
(11:27:09 AM) Pete : We're hoping to be able to announce some more about the Graig Fatha launch in the coming days
(11:30:02 AM) Adrian: After two long years the relief and celebrations are likely to be akin to those of a successful rocket launch in Houston! Perhaps a little more reserved as we're British of course.:-)
(11:32:53 AM) Pete : I'm not sure - we've got some really fun things lined up! :D

I'd like to be a fly on the wall to witness those......unless of course they're all still WFH!

When you are on the ripple website filling in details it advises they will be in touch to change suppliers?

Do you have to swap to ripple?
Do you have to have a smart meter?

Thanks in advance for any clarification

Supplier changeover is closer to WT activation. In this case for Kirkhill about 1.5 yrs from now. Edit, no to a smart meter unless also also seeking TOU tarriffs from supplier

Why the smart meter? I hadn't picked up on that, we should just get our windfarm output credited against whatever our bill is from whichever of the suppliers we are signed up with.
(n.b. not Ripple who are not a supplier, but Coop/Octopus, e.on next and another...)

I am happy to stand corrected on this. Just what I thought I'd gleaned at the outset

Hi AGT, there will be no need to change energy supplier to one engaged on Ripples scheme until the Wind farm commences generation.
Also, there is no need to have a Smart Meter unless you wish to enlist on one of the Smart tariffs.

If you read the FAQ's and/or watch the vid's you will discover almost all there is to know about signing up. Good luck with your search, I hope you decide to join the many of us on here who already have.
