If true, that's a nearly a 50% hike in expected savings from the WT2 share document.
Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
Re: Part ownership of a Wind Turbine, fancy it?
18.7kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 26MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3

Re: Part ownership of a Wind Turbine, fancy it?
Thanks joe, but no I was referring to the price per kW sold on being locked in for "x" year / years.
No worries though, I'll find it if I remember later.

Re: Part ownership of a Wind Turbine, fancy it?
Thanks joe..
I cannot believe that the investment is still stuck at 50% all things considered (someone have a word)
This from the front page (not logged into dashboard yet)
"Our quotes do not reflect the current high prices. As a comparison, if prices stayed at the level assumed in the forthcoming energy price cap, your bill savings from your wind farm would be nearly 15p/kWh, that's 3 times higher than is displayed in our quotes"
So regardless of the proposed prices it's worth keeping the above in mind.
Ok, fess up, who has bought the T-shirt, & what's the material density (feel & structure like)?

Re: Part ownership of a Wind Turbine, fancy it?
I think he has misunderstood or answered half the question. If they refer to "savings" this is the difference between the operating cost and the wholesale price. If savings are 9.5p, I'd presume the price agreed with Octopus is 11.5p, assuming 2p operating costs.Joeboy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 07, 2022 9:10 am Had a chat with Tom at Ripple this morning

Hi Joe, thanks for your message!
We'll be announcing very soon when the wind farm will be going live!

Fair answer!
A quick question Tom, The 9.5p per kWh figure?
Tom Carr
We're days away now, so do keep an eye on your emails.
avatar
Is that figure the 1 year lock in figure for generation at the mast negotiated with Octopus?
Tom Carr
Yes, the figure is locked in for 1 year and reviewed annually
With the price spike at the moment it may even stay up depending on when prices settle again
avatar
Cool, all the best in these extremely exciting times. OH, I didn't know it was variable I thought it was a flat rate, excellent!
Tom Carr
There's a useful article here on how the wholesale price might change with energy prices: https://blog.rippleenergy.com/news/the- ... ce-spikes/
Essentially we hope that your savings can to some extent protect you from price spikes!

Absolutely, all the best and thanks for your time!

You're most welcome, enjoy your day!'

Given that it's 2 years away and with the current state of the world I wouldn't even bet on us being around to benefit...

30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!

I spoke too soon... Gales forecast now! - Except that the BBC forecast for Pontypridd shows nothing higher than 19mph in the week. Anyone got a better location to put in to the BBC website? I have tried Tonyrefail but it looks no different.AE-NMidlands wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 12:20 pmand nice and steady for the whole of the rest of the week too. Perfect for commissioning and running in...
Wonder if there will be any money back in April, or whether it will be May before we see it?
