so we can send gas to Europe? Is there a pipeline, or do we use ships that would otherwise be transporting Russian gas?

Interesting, thanks. I see Ofgem say
Gas interconnectors connect gas transmission systems from other countries to the National Transmission System (NTS) in England, Scotland and Wales.
There are currently three gas interconnectors which connect to the NTS. These are:
IUK interconnector to Belgium
Balgzand to Bacton Line (BBL) to the Netherlands
Moffat to the Republic of Ireland interconnector
I wonder if there is anything like the Elec grid dashboard?

I worked on the Bacton line years ago. Snamprognetti was the client.Concrete mat installs in zero visibility with absolutely ripping tides, 40 minute dives only in some instances. Challenging, hairy work to say the least!
Legend had it that the line went in to export from the Southern gas fields to Europe and from day 1 the gas traffic was the other way.

The Daily Fail really is a joke isn't it?
A huge power cut has hit London as around 5,000 people were left without electricity in homes and businesses.

The outage ripped across the east of the capital and caused chaos as the internet, traffic lights and water were shut off.

Others reported the power cut had reached as far away as Wimbledon and Cricklewood as 37 postcodes were plunged into disarray.

People working from home were left helpless as they were unable to log on and could not pour water to make lunch.
Do they depend on local mains power for their water supply?

What, precisely, has a substation fire got to do with wind generation, any record - or anything much else for that matter?
