Great to hear, there's a slight change in mindset when the reality of 'this is going to happen every day' hits. Well there was for me!

Good to see the until mid April update, I might squeak another couple of Watts myself towards the end.

Well, Its a beautiful morning up here, frosty, sun is splitting the skies and my resolve melted like the frost on the grass! Pondering on whether or not for WT3 which is they hope going to be an offshore windfarm there will be a change in investment profile?

No point Ripple taking a max loan out when you have X amount of ardent existing investors willing to go beyond 120%?

Anyway, while that WT3 investment profile question goes unanswered or indeed the farm contracted in any way I thought i'd better get in while there is an open door. My final adjustments have been made on edit consumption while keeping it within the realms of Truth and bought my final chunk in Kirkhill windfarm.

I am now
Capacity owned total
Kirk Hill 3.476 kW
Graig Fatha 2.609 kW

Expected annual generation
18,000 kWh
Kirk Hill 11,028 kWh
Graig Fatha 6,972 kWh

18MWh pa of clean power from remote sources, that is the stuff of Sci-Fi surely? :) :ugeek:

Head to Cardiff at some point, and we'll track that ugger down together, perhaps next time armed with better directions.

Speaking of, can anyone post a pic/map with a cross for where to head with the car, and also one for the right WT?
Sounds like a plan Mart. But surely can't that difficult can it, I mean they got that chuffing great monster of a wind turbine up there on the back of a humungus sized low loader. Or have they somehow managed to cover their tracks in order to keep any potential hostile objectors away! :D
In all seriousness though I do believe it to be on "privately owned farm" so they may not be keen on having multitudes of spectators turning up at all times. I also understand that Ripple are planning an open day when us investors will be invited along for a celebration, so perhaps we just have to be patient a little longer before getting a close up look.

Thanks for the map ref Joe, good on yer.
Great, it's a date, I'll order a pizza and see what's on Netflix!

Many thanks Nowty, I think we now have it surrounded.

We are going to try & grab some extra watts too, (542 to be exact) to round out, the wife likes the idea, if we hadn't got this damned puppy there would be a bit more again.

The pup (bitch) already has extremely deep vocal resonance, she's going to unintentionally scare a good few more timid types that's for sure, the amount of roughhousing the litter must have done has our "Andre the giant" Frenchie Monsieur le Tank, in raptures

So, this ripple wind generation app, is it only visible to Graig Fatha investors? (would be nice to have a proper nosey)

Agreed, I am hoping for a steampunk skin on mine. You get the days predicted generation which goes to true generations each hour passes then there's a 4 day graph which shows today's predicted end of day gen and the following 3 days. Basic but adequate. There is slso a line showing your anticipated use and the hourly bar is above or below that line.

Like it,

Some folk go for a round number of investment like £3k.

I've gone for a round number of watts, now 5.5kW and roughly balanced the forecasted generation of 50% between each wind farm.

And you've gone for a round number of forecast generation 18MWh.

I think ripple should have three separate sliders so you can choose how you wish to measure your purchase without us having to get our calculators out. :geek:

PS - I hope WT3 is in East Anglia because I reckon that would be an ideal place to add generation diversity and would get us one in every country of Great Britain. And then I would have to buy enough so that I have 1/3 of generation from each.
18.7kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 26MWh generated

& an option to drip in money when between fund raiser notifications so we can build up a pre-balance (see below) setting our own target goal.

A "pay in" set up for not for profit charitable entities to get a crowd-funder going, along with a traditional thermometer slider for cash deposited & watts purchase equivalent.
