I didn't read the Gruniad article. However all things being equal, an EV should last as long as an ICEV if nopt longer. And when the ICEV is done the battery should still be going!

I wonder what the limitations on the lifespan of an EV are? Maybe corrosion on chassis/suspension components? Maybe just plain obsolescence (newer, faster, better range, more efficient, EVs are available)?

Probably Software bricked meaning nothing wrong wit the hardware but the vehicle won't move :evil:

Exactly the reason i stopped looking at those supercheap Fiskar Oceans for £25k a few months back. Have enough ornaments in the garden already.

Corrosion looking at my MG5. All the paint came off the sills. Underside is looking pretty orange as well.
