Green with a touch of Harissa. Harvesting our own in a few weeks - they’re not too big but home grown has to be better

Yep - make it more as a saturated salt solution. Change every 2 weeks. When ‘cured’, store in an acidified (white wine vinegar) brine.
Rinse and soak in water before serving. Occasionally marinate in acidified olive oil with garlic and herbs.
Re: Nowty Towers Vs UK Grid Storage
I hate Olives and Garlic with a passion.
How dare you pollute my thread with those awful things.
Unfortunately SWMBO loves them, reminds me of Carry On Henry.

Re: Nowty Towers Vs UK Grid Storage
So now, Nowty (if his subliminal messaging is to be believed) is proposing a SET (Sex Enjoyment Tax), perhaps to achieve his ambition of total RE dependence.
Or, as the clip states, for Fawkes Sake.
Why does Sid James now seem so wrong when, back in the day, lascivious behaviour ruled (oops)

For fawkes sake, I have just paid over £10k in VAT for the TM3.Bugtownboy wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 6:24 pm So now, Nowty (if his subliminal messaging is to be believed) is proposing a SET (Sex Enjoyment Tax), perhaps to achieve his ambition of total RE dependence.

Maybe SET is politically less objectionable.
Today I received 20 LED lightbulbs from China with the usual customs note of lies,

Re: Nowty Towers Vs UK Grid Storage
Probably partially true.
One light bulb did weigh .228kg - oh, you wanted the total number too
When we lived in Soton, Nowty, we used to, occasionally, import drums from the US (somebody has too - son’s a drummer).
Customs used to be so lax. Probably managed to get 3 or 4 out of 5 without paying duty , not through anything dodgy, just pure ineptitude.

I am picking up my Tesla Model 3 from Southampton Docks, but somehow I doubt the customs note will be as dodgy.Bugtownboy wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 8:32 pm Probably partially true.

Unless of course I've been scammed and I have in fact only bought a model of the model 3.

Re: Nowty Towers Vs UK Grid Storage
This month.
Received final invoice a few days ago and it will be fully paid for on Monday. Had to split payments into 3 because the total exceeds my bank limit unless I pay a CHAPS fee.
