Encouraged by discussions here and elsewhere I dipped my toe in the Arduino pool for my last year's Christmas present... a beginners kit is not expensive and there are loads of tutorials on YouTube etc. (eg

They are always out of stock though.
I expect they are experiencing the same electronics supply chain problems as most others are, when I've bought from them in the past it's been delivery next day most times.
