Just checked and from 10.20 to now (14.50) we have used 2% soc, we are actually still using that second percent.
That's joyous!

I cannot cook on mine either but I'm roasting, I think some wood ash has jammed under the sliding air control so the only temperature control is by putting small logs in, currently a large log undergoing positive feedback as it heat up. It will be a faff removing the stove and putting it on its back so I can clean it or I could just let the grate fill up with ash.

The Heath Robinson pipes convey 37C air into the lounge 3 metres away. It has provided all our heating for 2 years since I removed the 10kW pellet heater into storage in my shed.

Absolutely, The Womble's taught me that in the 70's and I live to it along with trying my best to emulate Tom Good. Decent role models i'd say.

Classic FM Christmas music intermingled with the more standard fare this morning, absolutely excellent.

A couple of days in a row this has occurred, just enough PV coming in to tickle the batteries and run the house. 09.50hrs to 16.30hrs (6 hrs 40 mins). Through that window the stack sat at 67% SOC with a slight gain in the middle. The memory of the SOC swinging wildly back in the day when we had two 2.4kWh batteries and a single E/W PV system are still fresh in my mind, as are the vampire loads depleting the two battery stack through the night. This is better!

Even worse, Nov 2019 with no real PV & no TOU tariff in place.


This is the first time I have looked at these comparison charts together. Amazing how the game has moved on while I've been focussed on just climbing the stairs to better RE things.
