Last day in Turkey I saw some of these in the supermarket. About £1.50 each I think SES. I'll pick up a half dozen next time out. Pattern parts, not Phillips.

Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
Sarah (CEO) from Ripple said today in her webinar saying DW offer is closing 5pm on Monday 22nd May. Looks like with maybe 50% debt as they are up to 47% or 48% full. So if your still on the fence, don’t expect an offer extension and then regret it.

Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
The uptake on the projects certainly seems to have accelerated as each has passed by. Good news indeed!
I used the 9 month payment option for all three of us.

Did you say previously that you could change who was getting the benefit at some point in the future if you wanted to Joe?
I was looking at investing, but my Mrs is the named account holder for our electricity, I read the Ripple T&Cs that the investment would have to be in her name? It's not a massive issue, but easier if it can be transferred as needed.

Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
I don't think that was me. As far asi know the investment is in the power account owners name. Might be worth seeing if you can dual name the power account? Bear in mind that the closing point is imminent(ish). Don't forget to name a beneficiary when you set up on the off-chance.richbee wrote: ↑Tue May 16, 2023 10:24 amDid you say previously that you could change who was getting the benefit at some point in the future if you wanted to Joe?

My plan for who gets what will be to remove any financial excess across the three projects in my name and manually place that money with the kids power accounts or out to Turkey to cover the power bills there.

Once the offer closes, the named owner cannot be changed but up to 4 individuals can be named beneficiaries.

Loving the difference in scale of components between projects. They'll all get the job done!

Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
It's a bit (a lot) quiet at the moment... While the weather this month is good for getting the vegetable garden set and for beekeeping, my tally of the predicted GF output is way down on any previous month.
Clearly the combo of PV and wind is a winner; even a wave energy machine wouldn't be doing much just now, so tidal flow generation needs to be part of our generation mix. I'm still doubtful whether tidal barrages are justifiable on biodiversity grounds when we (in the UK) have done virtually nothing about demand reduction yet.
