I'd go for 4th Nov for the next one.

But for the 8th (all of them up), 6.00 pm 20th Dec. :geek:

I had hoped that they'd keep both cranes on site. Cannae see it though, (still hoping).

The 8th turbine completion estimate list date is.

Had a quick check on insights and looks like we will have a 40% total ROI by the end of Storm C @ GF. That is :o

I am forecasting at least 50% ROI by end of March 24.
Conservatively based on 80% of expected generation and 6p per kWh in March.

But that is before the taxman takes his share :(

A cracker of a day at GF yesterday and calm enough for lifts at KH. Hopefully hear about T5 soon. :ugeek:

It is great to see Ripple rattling the abacus to get the monthly count to members quickly.

Looks like 3 or even 4 days of lifting weather potential at KH.

And oops, just realised I haven't yet published Octobers capacity graph for GF which was not bad, down on last year and about 10% down on baseline but can't complain.

PS - I still cannot get over July's performance.

18.7kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 27MWh generated
6 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3

A 365% improvement at GF on the previous July. That is rather astonishing. :o

January 23 remains the one to be toppled though. January 24 will be financially astounding even if the CF is under that of Jan 23

Nov 23 should be a good earner too? I am interested to see if the VB will take a hit or if the current kWh price @ GF will be enough to steamroller the Octopus bill for Nov and maybe beyond? At some point I'll crack £200 in a single GF month.

I have found it fascinating to watch it all grow upward and outward, maintenance, communication, finance, project timelines, and progression as well.

A tad sad that the GF kWh price will drop back 😢 in March 24 but it has been a grand lift to the VB and will see us close to KH coming online.

There's a thought, we are coming up for 2 years on GF. Will any of the original 907 investors sell 🤔?

I'd be happy come the two years to sell a chunk of DW and buy into another interesting Ripple project but GF & KH will be staying with me. :D

I have been thinking ahead about my Octopus fuel account payments (which are reduced by GF's output)... When it started up we received 9.63 pence a unit, then since March 2023 we have been getting 27p per unit. Do any of our soothsayers have suggestions of what it might be next spring? Obviously a lot less, or maybe not so much less, and subject to contract negotiations, but a ball-park figure?
Is it a given that KH will get the same contract price?
I did a search here as I thought ithese sorts of things had been covered, but I can't see it discussed...
A
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!

I guessed 15p per kWh for GF next contract. That's my boundless optimism though. I think Nowty posted something from a prediction doc stating quite a bit lower.

I had speculated in March about 12p.

There was a little speculation here in June and I reduced my forecast to 8p.
https://camelot-forum.co.uk/phpBB3/view ... 687#p33686

I still say about 8p / kWh, even the latest blow up in the middle east has not altered prices much.
The latest year ahead wholesale pricing, its in pounds per MWh, so £100 / MHW = 10p / kWh.

KH should be similar as the contract should start only a month adrift. There are some uncertainties though, I think Scotland has higher transmission prices and there is the increased debt issue, we don't know the details of the interest rate or repayment period. But revenues earned before April will be added on to first year rebates.
