Just over £16 here, similar tonight I suspect.

Should have been £24 each for me for the last two, but will only be £12 each....
Re: Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
I think I might be a few pence less than last night as I forgot to unplug the iPad.

Re: Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
I hadn’t removed the settings from my inverter to charge the battery ahead of the SS and discharge it during the SS so didn’t have to do anything (except turn everything off at the required time. Been doing zero rinsing of late so my baseload has slipped to less than a kWh which is annoying.

5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger
(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

Re: Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
I had a couple of days where the Octopus would not give me the 5pm cheap slot but offered me the 6pm one instead which perversely helped my baseline.Stinsy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 8:40 pm I hadn’t removed the settings from my inverter to charge the battery ahead of the SS and discharge it during the SS so didn’t have to do anything (except turn everything off at the required time. Re: Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
And yet another session today, same time 6pm to 6:30pm with low volume of 100MW, on a weekend so my baseline will be zero.
Is this the last one and by that I mean maybe ever as they seem to want to kill this thing off at the earliest opportunity and for the least cost.
I think whatever happens in the bidding, Octopus is likely to still cough up the £1.75 a kWh.

It does seem like they are trying to get them out if the waynowty wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 9:26 am And yet another session today, same time 6pm to 6:30pm with low volume of 100MW, on a weekend so my baseline will be zero.

Kill off the test sessions, not the real sessions?

Re: Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
Looks to me like when they needed real sessions they got the shortfall from coal power stations because they were getting rid of supplies.
Suspect this coming winter they won’t have that option any more, thank goodness

Re: Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
Octopus accepted at 50p/kWh be interesting to see if they supplement this one.
Axle Energy went for bust at £2.50/kWh and rejected.
