Intelligent Octopus Go
Re: Intelligent Octopus Go
I was going to post a picture of my big pink bar but unfortunatly the picture posting site still has problems...
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger
(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

Re: Intelligent Octopus Go
Nowty, just checking an example here:
If I disconnected the car at 1435, drove a bit, got back at 1515, plugged back in and got a new schedule starting immediately (at 1515)...the 1430-1500 and 1500-1530 would still be cheap rate, correct?
Solar PV: 6.4kW solar PV (Eurener MEPV 400W*16)
PV Inverter: Solis 6kW inverter
Batteries: 14.4kWh LiFePO4 batteries (Pylontech US5000*3)
Battery Inverter: LuxPowertek 3600 ACS*2
EV: Hyundai Kona 65kWh
WBS: 8kW Hunter Avalon 6 Multifuel burner (wood only)

Re: Intelligent Octopus Go
Correct!
I often wait until 2min past the hour to pop tp Tesco. If I get back at 58mins past the same hour and plug in I get continuous cheap slots.
Some people game the system by plugging in at 58-past, unplugging at 2 min past then doing the same an hour later...

Re: Intelligent Octopus Go
Anyone of you still have a gas boiler and on intelligent octopus go? Can I ask what tariff you are on for your gas? Thanks.
Re: Intelligent Octopus Go
I'm currently on Tracker for gas, sadly not the v1 tariff that I was on until August.

Re: Intelligent Octopus Go
I’m on tracker for gas. However despite having a gas boiler, it has been a few years since I’ve used it for space heating.

Re: Intelligent Octopus Go
Yeah, I've stayed on tracker too. Doesn't seem to be anything better out there at the moment.
Unfortunately, gas central heating is our main heating source in a poorly insulated home, so getting a bit expensive lately for not much benefit.
I know it's a good idea to keep an eye on the price though, it seems to be over the 6p/kWh mark a lot of the time lately.
Dont want a £1/kWh shock out of the blue!
