Did we get a new record yesterday? https://grid.iamkate.com/ seems to suggest that we may have.

"New wind power records are set regularly, and between 6:30pm and 7:00pm on 15th December 2024 British wind farms averaged a record 22.25GW of generation."

Not officially recognized by NESO - at least not yet - they're still saying record wind was 21st Dec 2023 with 21.813GW

(tagged windrecord for searching)
Yep, just had it flashed up on my NESO App for 15th Dec 2024, and on a low demand Sunday too.

EDIT - The nukes down for refuelling probably helped.

Could be another chance today:
22.2GW on Iamkate, and high demand from other countries and still burning plenty of gas (13GW)
450W hydro-electric
5110W pv
1.3kw Wt2 - not yet producing
6kWh lead acid - maybe 1kwh useable
LiMnCo battery made from 2nd hand hybrid car modules 3.6kwh nominal 24v.
300lt hot water tank and two storage heaters
ASHP Grant Aerona 3 10.5kw and UFH

Question: How would that affect turbines that are turned off by the operator and not the National Grid? My answer would be “nothing at all, because they were not curtailed”.
