Thanks again Iain, that's the temp/humidity sensor order placed.

For solar monitoring I tend to double + add 20% to be conservatively in or around the box (770W in this case) for home generation true figure

This means that the home is taking care of itself sans grid and a trickle is also going into the batteries. Exceeds my Feb expectations completely and puts a smile on my face. I hope all you other HP owners are flying free too?

Edit- 30 minutes later. Sun is gone for what there was of it. Now down to about 550W incoming from PV and 770W demand from HP. So that 220W cost to me and 4,100W output. In real cost terms to me that's a 18.5:1 ratio (or cop).

Jesus, that's mental! :praise:

These G9 led bulbs are absolutely excellent. Throw a stronger light than the incandescent bulbs they replaced for over 90% reduction in power.

That's a bargain.

I don't think I have ever seen a fitting like that before!

On a similar note,1) there doesn't seem to be any sign of Dubai lamps here yet, and
2 has anybody tried repairing LED bulbs by either sticking silver foil over the failed emitter yet, or going round it with a soft "B" pencil?

I really fancy some Dubai lamps!

I bought a load of Phillips L-prize bulbs ver a decade ago and they're all doing well. The much-cheaper LED bulbs I've bought since have faired so well, typically failing after a few years.

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

I think these were £9 for 6 so that's defo at the cheap end of the scale. :D I had doubts they'd be the correct fitment but no problem. If a bulb can be termed cute then these are that.

OEM temp/humidity sensor has just arrived so I'm topping up a couple of Varta AA rechargeables and apparently it's an auto connect.

It was great to walk through the door this afternoon and the whole place feels great 👍.

No AE, haven't done that, have you had success with it?

Better than Dubai spec bulbs have been available in the UK for around 2 years now, I wrote up on some of them here back in 2023,

I think I could do with an upgrade beyond hive to track indoor temps!
Open energy monitor does a wireless temperature/humidity sensor that will link in with your HP monitoring.
Thanks Iain, it's up & running.Any idea how to add to the HP feed. I'm fingers & thumbs here! Got this far and quite proud of myself.

Looks like the HP is compensating for the wbs too? It was on yesterday but you wouldn't know it looking at the black line.
