I hadn’t removed the settings from my inverter to charge the battery ahead of the SS and discharge it during the SS so didn’t have to do anything (except turn everything off at the required time. Been doing zero rinsing of late so my baseload has slipped to less than a kWh which is annoying.

I had a couple of days where the Octopus would not give me the 5pm cheap slot but offered me the 6pm one instead which perversely helped my baseline.

Is this the last one and by that I mean maybe ever as they seem to want to kill this thing off at the earliest opportunity and for the least cost.
I think whatever happens in the bidding, Octopus is likely to still cough up the £1.75 a kWh.
It does seem like they are trying to get them out if the way

Looks to me like when they needed real sessions they got the shortfall from coal power stations because they were getting rid of supplies.
Suspect this coming winter they won’t have that option any more, thank goodness
